Getting help

Most things go wrong in one of a few ways. Here is the short list — and a real email address at the end.

Where to get the apps

To-did is on the App Store for iPhone. A lighter web version works in the browser with your Apple ID; the iPhone app is the full experience.

Setting up the Action Button (iPhone)

  • Settings → Action Button → swipe to Controls.
  • Tap the control square and choose Talk to To-did.
  • Press the Action Button, talk, press it again to send. The app never has to open.

Starting a capture with a tap

The Action Button is press-and-hold — that is Apple's behaviour for the button itself, not something an app can change. If you want a single tap, To-did gives you three:

  • Control Center — add the To-did control and tap it.
  • The "Talk to To-did" widget — add it to the Lock Screen or Home Screen; one tap starts recording without opening the app.
  • Back Tap — Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap → Double Tap → choose the To-did shortcut. Two taps on the back of the phone and you are recording.

While it listens, the pink card shows Send and Cancel, so you never have to let a bad recording go through.

My list isn't syncing

  • Every iPhone must be signed into the same iCloud account, with iCloud Drive on.
  • Sync is on by default; check Settings → Sync inside the app.

It misheard me

Rename or reschedule the task — every capture is editable. Speaking the date plainly ("amanhã às cinco", "next Friday morning") gives the best results, and you can mix languages freely inside one sentence.

Still stuck

Write to hello@to-did.app with the device, what you said, and what came back. Replies usually come within a day.
